COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION
In this course I learned the process of designing and drawing commercial buildings using BIM software. I was able to gain knowledge of understanding the use of materials, codes, graphic terminology/conventions and construction methods used within commercial construction and the application of this understanding to a partial set of architectural working drawings.
 MIXED OCCUPANCY PROJECT
For this project, I was given parameters of 30'X40'. I needed to come up with the building and floor plan. This would be served as a residential and business occupancy. I was to make construction set drawings using the IBC code, including a life safety plan.
FINAL RETAIL-OFFICE PROJECT
For this project, I was given a site plan that exists here in Indianapolis, IN that was 110'X288'. This project was more in depth into understanding building systems, and how to research social, environmental, and physical characteristics in the area of the site and how it directly correlates to the design. In this project I followed the IBC for code. The first floor in this project was going to serve as a retail space, and the second floor was going to serve as an office space for an expanding business.
